APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Thank you for your interest in our properties. Attached is Day-Lum Rental’s Availability List. We hope to help you meet your housing needs. We encourage you as a prospective applicant to drive by the property that interests you. DO NOT go onto the property; DO NOT walk up to the house or apartment. Entry onto a property without the Property Manager will be an automatic denial of your application.

 

If you find a property you are interested in renting, please complete the Day-Lum Rentals application. Processing includes, but is not limited to:

CREDIT CHECK through a nationwide credit reporting service.
VERIFICATION OF YOUR INCOME to confirm that your monthly household income will be approximately 2.5 times the amount of your rent.
LANDLORD REFERENCES from your current and previous landlords.
EMPLOYMENT and personal references.
ARREST RECORD AND SEX OFFENDER CHECK

Processing requires a minimum of 2 business days. Every adult applicant must sign the application and provide a photo ID. Non-related adults who have not lived together for the last 3 years must complete separate applications. It is your responsibility as an applicant to contact Day-Lum to verify whether or not your application has been qualified. Applications with poor credit reports OR insufficient income OR unsatisfactory landlord or employment references OR non-disclosed arrest record will not be qualified.

When your application qualifies, a showing of any qualified properties that interest you will be scheduled with the Property Manager. No property will be rented sight-unseen. There is an occupancy limit of two people per bedroom, plus one, for all of our residential properties. Property is rented to the best-qualified applicant on a first come, first served basis. At the conclusion of the showing, the Property Manager will discuss lease options.

Please take note and remember the following:
To process the application, a $15.00 (cash) non-refundable fee will be collected.
Every adult applicant will need to submit a photo ID.
Your application is good for 3 months from the day it is submitted.
It takes a minimum of 2 business days to process your application.
To speed the processing of your application, bring in verification of your income, such as Retirement Award Letter, pay stubs, W-2 forms (self-employed applicants), proof of assistance, County Housing calculation sheet, etc.
Our office hours are: M-F, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday.
